Congress asked its workers to remain alert on the counting day

New Delhi: Preparations are in full swing at the Congress headquarters on Monday, a day before the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections. Tents have been put up in the premises of the party headquarters ’24 Akbar’ Road. Arrangements for coolers have also been made there. Congress supporters are looking at these preparations of the party as preparations for celebration in case of the victory of the ‘India’ alliance. At the same time, Congress has asked its workers to remain alert on the day of counting tomorrow. Along with this, numbers have also been issued to complain about any irregularities.

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has issued a statement saying, “In the past few days, we all have seen that the BJP leaders and their government violate the dignity of democracy and the Constitution during elections. Therefore, we have to be alert and cautious during the counting of votes tomorrow.” The statement further said, “The Congress Monitoring Center in Delhi will remain open 24 hours. If the public feels that there is any irregularity, then record it on the mobile. We are issuing a mobile number, send it immediately on that. Along with this, write the number of the counting center and the information about the Lok Sabha constituency and send it.

Let us tell you that the day after the exit polls were released, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi also held a meeting with party candidates, legislative party leaders and heads of state units of the party through video conference. During this, he asked to be vigilant on the day of counting and take necessary steps to prevent any attempt of rigging.

Counting of votes will begin at 8 am on Tuesday. Most exit polls have predicted a landslide majority for the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Lok Sabha elections. Most surveys have predicted the NDA to get more than 350 seats. If the actual results also remain as per the exit poll estimates, then Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take power with a big majority for the third time. Congress and other constituents of the ‘India’ alliance have rejected the exit polls and claimed that the opposition alliance will form the next government.
