CRPF jawans killed the second terrorist in their encounter

Kathua: An encounter between terrorists and security forces started again in Kathua on the second day. Police, SOG, CRPF, and Army jawans are handling the situation. 

An encounter between terrorists and security forces took place again on Wednesday for the second day in village Saida Sohal of Tehsil Hiranagar of District Kathua of Jammu division. Security forces have also killed the second terrorist. Police, SOG, CRPF, and Army jawans have cordoned off the area. The search operation is going on. ADGP Jammu Anand Jain has given this information. 

ADGP said that brave Jawans have killed both terrorists in the encounter in Hiranagar. However, the operation is still going on. The possibility of any other terrorist hiding in the area cannot be ruled out. In such a situation, a search operation is being conducted. A search operation is also being conducted in the surrounding area. 

It is being told that the spot was also being monitored with drones. During this time, the presence of the terrorist was detected.The terrorist was killed in the firing that started after this. The security personnel gradually started to shrink the circle. Seeing himself surrounded, the terrorist opened fire again around 10 a.m. In response to this, an encounter started. Two terrorists have been killed in this encounter. 

The security forces have recovered arms and ammunition around the site of the ongoing encounter. According to the officer, the recovered arms and ammunition include three magazines with 30 rounds, another magazine with 24 rounds, 75 rounds in separate polythene, three grenades, currency worth Rs 1 lakh (200 notes of Rs 500), food items (Pakistan-made chocolates, dry gram, and stale rotis), medicines and injections (pain relievers) made in Pakistan, a syringe, two packs of A4 batteries, and a handset wrapped in tape, which includes an antenna and two wires hanging from the handset. 

On Tuesday night, terrorists raided a house in village Sohle Saida of Tehsil Hiranagar in Kathua. One person was injured in the firing by the terrorists. On the other hand, people informed the security forces. A Pakistani terrorist was killed in an encounter between the terrorists and the police. 

The operation started in search of other terrorists. Police, Army, SOG, and CRPF teams reached the spot. The area was cordoned off. Officers also reached the spot. A CRPF jawan was injured in an encounter with terrorists here at around 3 am in the morning. He was immediately taken to Hiranagar Upazila Hospital for treatment, but jawan Kabir Das could not be saved.
