Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal granted bail in liquor policy case

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got a big relief in the money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor scam. Rouse Avenue Court accepted his bail plea on Thursday. Kejriwal got bail on a bond of one lakh rupees. He can come out of Tihar Jail on Friday. CM Kejriwal has got bail for the second time in this case. Earlier, he came out of jail during the Lok Sabha elections.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested CM Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case of the liquor scam. The agency has made him an accused in this case. The court had reserved its decision on CM Kejriwal’s bail plea. The Chief Minister’s lawyer told the court that the investigating agency has no evidence to convict Kejriwal. The court granted bail to the Delhi CM after hearing the arguments of both the parties.

Let us tell you that earlier the Supreme Court had granted interim bail to the Delhi CM in May during the Lok Sabha elections. After the bail period expired, he surrendered before the Tihar Jail administration on June 2. After getting bail from the Delhi court, he will now come out of jail once again on Friday. There is a wave of happiness among AAP leaders and workers after CM Kejriwal got bail. Delhi government minister Atishi tweeted on Twitter after Kejriwal got bail and wrote Satyamev Jayate. It is believed that Kejriwal may come out of jail soon.
