PM Modi, Rajnath-Amit Shah took oath as MPs in the 18th Lok Sabha and the opposition targeted the NDA
New Delhi: The first parliamentary session of the 18th Lok Sabha has begun on Monday. President Draupadi Murmu has administered the oath to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Bhartrihari Mahtab as the Protem Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Protem Speaker Bhartrihari Mahtab administered the oath to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the leader of the Lok Sabha and as a member of the House. After the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister Modi, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah were sworn in. Along with this, the rest of the MPs are also being sworn in.
PM Modi took oath as MP
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath as MP in the 18th Lok Sabha session of the country. Protem Speaker Bhartrihari Mahtab administered the oath to PM Modi.
After the swearing in of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Haryana’s Karnal MP Manohar Lal Khattar were sworn in. Along with this, JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy has also taken oath as an MP.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took oath as MP amid uproar by the opposition
Manohar Lal Khattar, Piyush Goyal and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan have taken oath as MPs. During the oath taking ceremony of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the opposition created a lot of ruckus and raised slogans on the NEET issue.
Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Chirag Paswan took oath as Members of Parliament.
Prime Minister Modi and his Council of Ministers along with several newly-elected MPs today took oath for the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha.
BJP and Congress face to face over the Protem Speaker
Congress and BJP are face to face over the Protem Speaker. Congress MP Manikam Tagore said that the attitude of the government is still like that of an arrogant government. They (BJP) ignored Dalit MP K. Suresh, who is an MP for 8 times. Congress MP Suresh should be the Protem Speaker. It is very unfortunate that the Parliamentary Affairs Minister has taken such a decision without consulting the opposition parties.
PM Modi called Emergency a day of shame
Before taking oath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the Emergency and said that tomorrow is 25 June. 25 June marks the 50th anniversary of that blot on India’s democracy. The new generation of India will never forget that the Constitution of India was completely denied, every part of the Constitution was ripped apart. The country was turned into a prison, democracy was completely suppressed. PM Modi said that while protecting their Constitution, while protecting the democratic traditions of India’s democracy, the countrymen will take a pledge that no one can dare to do what was done 50 years ago in India again. We will take a pledge of a vibrant democracy. We will take a pledge to fulfill the dreams of the common man as per the instructions of the Constitution of India.
Congress lashes out at PM Modi for mentioning emergency
Congress MP Manikam Tagore has objected to Prime Minister Modi’s comment on emergency. He said that democracy is under threat every day in India. For the last 10 years, every activity of Modi has been against democratic forces. Even the statues of Gandhiji and Baba Saheb Ambedkar in Parliament have been removed and placed somewhere else. And Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that how long does Prime Minister Modi want to rule by talking about this?
We will not accept BJP’s attack on the Constitution: Rahul Gandhi
When asked about Congress and other opposition parties carrying copies of the Constitution in Parliament today, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that the attack on the Constitution by the Prime Minister and Amit Shah is not acceptable to us, we will not let this happen. Therefore, we held the Constitution while taking oath.
Today, SP MPs were seen in a different style in the Parliament. All 37 MPs came with a copy of the Constitution in their hands. Rahul Gandhi attacked the NDA government
Rahul Gandhi has attacked the NDA government today. The Congress MP said that many shortcomings have been seen in the first 15 days of the NDA government and this is why PM Modi is on the backfoot and is busy saving his government.
Rahul Gandhi said that there are 10 reasons due to which Narendra Modi’s government is on the backfoot. These include horrific train accidents, terrorist attacks in Kashmir, plight of passengers in trains, NEET scam, NEET PG cancellation, UGC NET paper leak, milk, pulses, gas, toll becoming more expensive, forests burning due to fire, water crisis and deaths due to lack of arrangements during heat wave.
Rahul Gandhi posted on X and said that we will not tolerate the attack on the Constitution by Narendra Modi and his government. The strong opposition of the Indi alliance will continue its pressure.

Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) MP Chandrashekhar Azad said that I am the voice of those people who were not even considered as human beings. Their voice was suppressed. Chandrashekhar said that I assure you that as long as I am in Parliament, I will keep raising my voice for the people.
Government has nothing to hide on NEET: Chirag Paswan
On the protest by Indi alliance leaders in Parliament, Union Minister Chirag Paswan said that issues related to the public should be raised, but issues that create confusion should not be raised.
On the NEET issue, he said that the government has nothing to hide and the government has taken this issue very seriously.
