In Haridwar, drinking water workers protest for nationalization

Haridwar, 7 March 2024: Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan Employees Organization staged a symbolic protest today at Jalkal Prangan, Haridwar to make the drinking water department a government department. Employees from Haridwar, Roorkee, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Doiwala Vikasnagar and Sahaspur participated in the protest in large numbers.

Inspired by the battle of nationalization being fought in the interest of the department and employees by the Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan Employees Organization and the work being done in the interest of the employees, Drinking Water Technical and Field Employees Organization, Divisional Vice President of Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Branch President Kuldeep Saini, Branch Secretary Bhupendra Singh along with all his 26 employees including Jainam Sanam, Rahul Pundir, Ashok Kumar, Jagdish Kumar, Shubham Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Lalit Chauhan, Prakash Kumar, Bhuvaneshwari Saini, Shiv Kumar, Lokesh Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Satyendra Chauhan, Ajay Sharma, Employees like Sunil Mishra, Ramesh Kumar, Maya Devi, Satpal Singh, Deepali, Pradeep Saini, Praveen Rana, Suresh Khanduri, Archana Saini etc. resigned from the Drinking Water Technical Field Employees Organization of Uttarakhand State and formally took membership of Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan Employees Organization.

Provincial General Secretary of the Employees Organization and State Convener of the United Front, Ramesh Binjola, while welcoming all the employee colleagues, expressed his gratitude for the trust they have shown towards the organization. A call was also given that all the employees should unite and become participants in the fight.

On this occasion, state executive president Dhan Singh Negi, Garhwal division president Shyam Singh Negi, Garhwal division general secretary Shishupal Rawat, state vice president Ramchandra Semwal, state media in-charge Sandeep Malhotra, state treasurer Lal Singh Rautela, branch president Dehradun Dhoom Singh Solanki, Jeevan Anand Bhatt, Rajendra Singh Bisht, Satish Parcha Chatar.

In the end, all the employees expressed their faith in the Chief Convener of the United Front, Jitendra Dev and appealed to stand shoulder to shoulder with him.
