LOCKDOWN EXTENDED TILL MAY 17 IN UP

The government of Up has decided to extend the lockdown till May 17 despite the decrease in the number of new COVID – 19 cases . The government does not want to take any chances this time .

Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal has confirmed this. He said it would be like a partial corona curfew. During this time all necessary services will continue.

After the panchayati elections , the transition is spreading rapidly which might futher cause increase in more spread of the infection if removed the lockdown . In the view of Eid on May 14 , the state do not want to take any risk . Significantly, there is a partial corona curfew in UP since April 30. As a result of this, there has been a decrease of 60 thousand in active cases of corona.
