New Delhi: The proceedings of the fifth day of the Parliament session have started. The motion of thanks is to be discussed in both the houses of Parliament today after the address of President Draupadi Murmu. As soon as the proceedings of the Lok Sabha started, Speaker Om Birla informed about the death of 13 former members of the House. In Rajya Sabha, Deputy Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar started the proceedings of the House with birthday greetings to two members of the House, Professor Ram Gopal Yadav and Deputy Chairman Harivansh. Before the proceedings of Parliament began, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has demanded that there should be a discussion on the NEET paper leak case first.
As soon as the proceedings of the Lok Sabha started, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of NEET in the House. Rahul Gandhi demanded a discussion on NEET. On this, Speaker Om Birla said that you can raise any topic during the discussion on the President’s address, you can put your point in detail. Rahul Gandhi asked the Speaker for two minutes of time. On this, the Speaker said that you will take the full time of your party, not two minutes. The speaker then asked the members to place the form marked in front of their names on the table of the House. On this, the opposition members started sloganeering and creating ruckus. Due to the uproar, the proceedings of the House were adjourned till 12 noon. Due to the uproar of the opposition MPs, the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha have also been adjourned till 12 noon.
Opposition wants to discuss the NEET issue in the House: Rahul
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that yesterday there was a meeting of the leaders of all the opposition parties and there was a consensus that today we want to discuss the NEET issue. There should be a discussion on NEET in the House. In the House, I request the Prime Minister that this is an issue of youth and there should be a proper discussion on it and it should be a respectful discussion. You should also join this discussion, it is a matter of youth. This message should go from the Parliament that the Government of India and the Opposition are talking about the students together.
