Femina Miss India 2024: Nikita Porwal of Madhya Pradesh became Femina Miss India 2024, Nandini Gupta crowned her
The grand finale of Femina Miss India 2024 was a star-studded event. On Wednesday night, Famous Studios in Worli, Mumbai hosted the 60th anniversary of India’s most prestigious beauty pageant. Femina Miss India 2024 has finally found its winner. At the glittering ceremony, Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh was crowned Femina Miss India World 2024. She will now represent India at the Miss World pageant.
Rekha Pandey from Dadra and Nagar Haveli (Union Territory) was crowned the first runner-up of Femina Miss India 2024 and Aayushi Dholakia from Gujarat won the title of second runner-up of Femina Miss India 2024. Nikita Porwal, Rekha Pandey and Aayushi Dholakia were honoured with a bouquet of flowers by Neha Dhupia.
The evening began with a fashion sequence introducing the ‘Top 30 State Winners’. These beauties wore designer Nikita Mhasalkar’s collection which comprised of exquisitely crafted glamorous and intricately embroidered outfits that showcased the unique qualities of each state winner.
The audience was given a heavy dose of 2000s nostalgia with a performance by Band of Boys. Three new crowns for the winners designed by Narayana Jewellers on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Femina Miss India were unveiled on stage. The second round of fashion showcase saw the top 30 state winners selected in designs by fashion icons Portia and Scarlett and for the special 60th anniversary Miss India organisation also launched a special musical number ‘Rise of Queen’.
On this occasion, Femina Miss India Arunachal Pradesh 2024, Tadu Lunia was honoured with the prestigious Times Miss Beauty with a Purpose Award. Meanwhile, Femina Miss India Meghalaya 2024, Angelia Marvin was honoured as the Times Miss Multimedia Award winner, both of whom secured their place in the top 15. At the same time, Sangeeta Bijlani enthralled the audience with her brilliant performance in a glamorous avatar. Neha Dhupia also added glamour to the ceremony.
The top 15 contestants faced the ultimate test in a Q&A segment featuring designer Nikita Mhasalkar, actress Sangeeta Bijlani, director Anees Bazmee, actress and former beauty queen Neha Dhupia, choreographer Bosco Martis and director Madhur Bhandarkar. The glitzy evening was further lit up by performances by Raghav Juyal and Gayatri Bharadwaj. The five regional winners included Femina Miss India Northeast 2024- Angelia Marvin, Femina Miss India North 2024- Sifti Singh Sarang, Femina Miss India South 2024- Malina, Femina Miss India East 2024- Riya Nandini and Femina Miss India West 2024- Arshiya Rashid.
