Modi Inaugurates Rs 12,200 Crore Development Projects in Delhi

Namo Bharat Train to Revolutionize Commuting in Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched many development projects totaling more than Rs 12,200 crore. During this time, he unveiled the first section of the 13-kilometer-long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Gallery, which connects Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar RRTS stations and cost approximately Rs 4,600 crore. This is Delhi’s first Namo Bharat Implementation Visit, making commuting between Delhi and the city considerably easier.

PM Modi traveled from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar by the Namo Bharat train for his inauguration. From Sunday at 5 p.m., passenger service on this route will begin, with trains running every 15 minutes. The price from New Ashok Nagar to Real Estate South is Rs 150 for a basic coach and Rs 225 for a luxury coach. Out of this 13-kilometer section, six kilometers are destinations, with Anand Vihar station prominent among them. This is the first time Namo Bharat trains would run on the actual route.

Last October 20, PM Modi inaugurated the 17-kilometer segment between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot. So far, 42 kilometers of the Volwal pipeline between Sahibabad and Northwest South have been started, with a total of 9 stations. With this opening, the Namo Bharat Manoranjan portion will be extended by 55 kilometers, with a total of 11 stops along the route. In comparison to this, the journey time between Walter and Delhi will be a mere 40 minutes.

Apart from this, Modi opened the 2.8-kilometer-long segment between Janakpuri and Krishna as part of Delhi Metro’s fourth phase, which cost approximately Rs 1,200 crore to build. In addition, the travel of the 26.5 km long Rithala-Kundli section of the fourth phase of Delhi Metro is underway. This corridor connects Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, greatly improving the northwestern areas of Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi also inaugurated the new Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) building in Rohini, which cost approximately Rs 185 crore.
