Monsoon troubling Uttarakhand: The 2023 Monsoon in India is surely a megaflood disaster

These include Ranikhet block in Almora, Kapkot in Bageshwar, Ramnagar and Bhawali in Nainital, Didihat and Askot in Pithoragarh, Bhatwadi, Chinyalisaur and Badkot in Uttarkashi, Gopeshwar, Karnaprayag, Gairsain, Tharali and Pokhri in Chamoli, Ukhimath in Rudraprayag, Narendranagar in Tehri, Ghansali, Thatur and New Tehri, Sahiya, Chakrata, Rishikesh and Doiwala in Dehradun, Lansdowne, Duggada, Bejro, Pabau and Srinagar in Pauri, Roorkee and Laksar in Haridwar.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami appeals to everyone to travel after seeing the weather. The Metrological department has given a red alert till July 13.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the people coming to Uttarakhand to be extremely cautious in view of the heavy rains and excess rainfall in the state. In this regard, by issuing a video message to the media and on his Twitter handle, CM Dhami has issued instructions to the Disaster Management Department and other line departments to remain alert.

Holiday in Nainital Schools

In view of the weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, Dehradun, the district administration has declared a holiday from July 10 to July 13 in Nainital district. During this time all the schools from class 1 to 12 will remain closed.

DM Vandana Singh said that in the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains somewhere between July 10 and 12 in the Nainital district. Along with this, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in all the hilly and plain areas of the district and strong water flow in rivers, drains, and donkeys.
