Lucknow: Rashtriya Kisan Manch has announced to field candidates for all 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the next year’s assembly elections. According to the statement issued by the Rashtriya Kisan Manch, the National President of the Manch, Shekhar Dixit said that the present Bharatiya Janata Party government of the state is working to benefit the capitalists instead of the interests of the farmers.
The statement said that for more than seven months, farmers have been protesting against the new agricultural laws of the Center on the Delhi border, but the government is ignoring them for the purpose of benefiting the capitalists. Dikshit claimed that all the promises made by the BJP government to farmers in 2017 proved to be false.
He said, “Sugarcane farmers did not get their money in 10 days, from fertilizer to seeds, the price of everything has increased and if they go to sell the produce, the farmers are not getting proper price.” ?
Dikshit also targeted the opposition parties, saying that farmers have also seen the governments of SP, BSP and Congress, everyone’s tone changes as soon as they come to power. He said that in the next elections, the platform will field its candidates on all 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the organization has set a target of adding one crore new members in the next three months.
