National shutdown – Bharat Band ! Diversions and routes , Chandigarh

The farmers of the country has been continuously protesting against the three farm laws introduced by Indian government. To mark the anniversary of farm bills , the Samyukt Kisan Morcha along with other farmers had requested for a peaceful nationwide shut down [Bharat Band] . The shut down will prevail from 6 A.M till 4 P.M .

Diversions in Chandigarh

As of for Chandigarh , Panchkula and Zirakpur road blockage is highly expected at Mullanpur Barrier and Hallomajra Lights.   

The Diversion will be put at the following points leading towards Mullanpur Barrier :

• 66KV light points
• Khuda Lahora Bridge
• Dhanas Bridge
• Tube well turn sector 25
• T point near Dhanas lake
• PGI Chowk

According to the Chandigarh Traffic Police , the traffic bound to Hallomajra light point will be diverted towards Kalibari Light point from Tribune Chowk . Those heading towards Hallomajra Chowk from Panchkula will be diverted towards Village Baltana near Raipur Kalan barrier as well as Airport Light Point at Makhan Majra. Lastly, the traffic coming from Industrial Area Phase 1 and 2 will be headed towards Tribune Chowk. 

The Chandigarh Traffic Police has requested public to cooporate during Bharat Band . Avoiding unnecessary traffic would be appreciated .
