I have not met my mom since the start of the pandemic. She went to Poland last year in March and now it’s July 2021. It has been 15 months since I met her. Yes, there are phones and video calls but nothing can substitute being with your parents in person. My parents are not getting any younger, so I just want to spend as much time with them as I possibly

On this special day she said , “They were away but never absent. The adversity changed our relationship. Their idea of parenting used to be of being a figure of authority, but since we started living in different countries it changed it to being best pals. I am happy my parents could return to their personal interests and hobbies. I became a lot more independent while taking care of domestic responsibilities.”
