Priyanka Gandhi will contest by-election from Wayanad

New Delhi: After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi won both the seats. After this, the question remained that from which seat Rahul Gandhi will be an MP and which seat will he leave. In such a situation, today a meeting of all the big leaders of the party was held at the residence of Congress Party’s National President Mallikarjun Kharge on this issue. Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and KC Venugopal also attended this meeting. This meeting went on for a long time, in which it was finally decided that Rahul Gandhi will be an MP from Rae Bareli seat.

After the meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that our leader Rahul Gandhi has been elected from two places. In such a situation, he will have to leave one seat. The party has decided that he should keep the Rae Bareli seat. Along with this, he said about the Wayanad seat that Priyanka ji should contest from Wayanad. After this decision of the party, Rahul Gandhi said that I have an emotional connection with both Rae Bareli and Wayanad. He said that Priyanka Gandhi will contest from Wayanad, but I will also go to Wayanad from time to time. I will fulfill the promises made.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, “I am very happy that I am going to represent the people of Wayanad. I will not let Wayanad feel his (Rahul Gandhi) absence. We have a 20-year-old relationship with Rae Bareli and we have worked there, so that relationship cannot be broken. We will both be present in Rae Bareli as well as in Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi said that both the seats are getting two MPs each.
