Rahul Gandhi may leave Wayanad seat; Priyanka Gandhi may contest by-election from Wayanad seat: sources

New Delhi:Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi may enter electoral politics. According to sources, Priyanka Gandhi may contest the Wayanad seat, which is vacant after Rahul Gandhi’s resignation. It is worth noting that Rahul Gandhi contested two seats in the 18th Lok Sabha elections. He won both the Wayanad seat in Kerala and the Rae Bareli seat in Uttar Pradesh. There is a buzz that Rahul Gandhi will represent the Lok Sabha from Uttar Pradesh only. He is going to leave the Wayanad seat. Priyanka Gandhi may be the Congress party’s candidate in the by-election to be held in this seat.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said at a public meeting in Wayanad, “I hope to meet you soon. The dilemma before me is whether I should remain the MP of Wayanad or Rae Bareli. I hope that both Wayanad and Rae Bareli will be happy with my decision.” Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi reached Kerala for the first time today after getting a spectacular victory from Wayanad for the second time in the Lok Sabha elections. During this, he did not forget to take a dig at PM Narendra Modi. He said that he talks to the people of the country instead of God. Those people tell him what to do.

Rahul Gandhi said that the fight for the Lok Sabha elections was to protect the constitution of the country. In this fight, love defeated hatred, and humility defeated arrogance. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi termed the new central government a ‘crippled government’. Let us tell you that in the year 2019, Rahul Gandhi also won from Wayanad. Once again, Wayanad has expressed confidence in him. Along with this, the people of Rae Bareli have also expressed confidence in him. Now, according to the rules, Rahul Gandhi cannot be an MP from two places. He will have to leave one seat.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, referring to the success of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INA) in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, said on Tuesday that through this result, a message went from Awadh to the whole of Uttar Pradesh and the whole country that the people want dedicated, true, and clean politics. Addressing the ‘Aabhar Sabha’ organized here to thank the people for the victory of the Congress in Rae Bareli and Amethi Lok Sabha constituencies, Priyanka said, “All my colleagues from the Samajwadi Party fought the elections shoulder to shoulder with us. We created an army here, under which we won Rae Bareli and Amethi with your strength. This was a historic victory.”
