Supreme Court’s harsh comment in NEET case

New Delhi: As the days pass by, the queue of petitions related to NEET exam is getting longer in the Supreme Court. However, the demands of all are almost the same, so their hearing is likely to be formal before the vacation bench. The Supreme Court has again heard the NEET case today. This time the petition demanding an investigation into the scam was heard. On which the court has told NTA not to consider it as NTA vs students.

While hearing this petition, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Center and sought a reply on the petitions related to the alleged paper leak and irregularities in NEET-UG, 2024. During the hearing, the Supreme Court said, “If there is 0.001% negligence on someone’s part, then it should be dealt with completely.” Also, the court has asked the NTA to respond on July 8. At the same time, the next hearing will be on July 8.

A second petition, including that of educationist Nitin Vijay, demanding the cancellation of the NEET exam was heard in the Supreme Court. A bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SVN Bhatti heard the petition. The court said that students have high expectations from the Supreme Court on July 8. There is a lot of evidence against NTA, the Supreme Court has made very harsh remarks. The court has said that this should not be considered as NTA vs students. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to NTA on the petition. SC has made an important comment. They said that if even 0.01% of someone’s fault is found, then it should be dealt with strictly. Also, the Supreme Court told the NTA not to ignore the complaints of the students. If there is really a mistake in the exam, then it should be corrected in time.

The court further said that we understand the hard work of the students. Both the petitions were clubbed with the previous petitions. Also, its hearing was fixed on 8th July. At the same time, petitioner Nitin Vijay says that 20 thousand students have given their complaint under the digital satyagraha being run regarding the irregularities in the NEET exam. Citing paper leak and irregularities in the petition, a demand was made to cancel the entire exam and conduct the exam afresh.
