Srinagar: Following the terrorist attack on a passenger bus in Reasi, Jammu, a security warning has been issued in Jammu and Kashmir. The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway is under tight surveillance. Tourists, on the other hand, are flocking to the world-famous Dal Lake, which is becoming increasingly crowded.
Tight security precautions have been taken on both routes of this year’s Amarnath Yatra, which starts on June 29, before the start of the Yatra. The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway is being actively scrutinized. This is one of the paths to Amarnath Cave. Pilgrims must pass over this highway to reach Anantnag and Ganderbal on both Amarnath Yatra routes. In such a case, not only the National Highway but also the security system are on alert on the transit campus of the Amarnath Yatra.
According to intelligence reports, the active terrorists in the valley, numbering between 125 and 140, have devised a comprehensive plot to strike the Amarnath Yatra this time. To deal with any scenario, security has already been reinforced along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway and at the Yatra Transit Campus.
