Main accused in Jeetan Sahni murder case arrested, murdered for demanding repayment of loan of Rs. 1.5 lakh
Bihar: The police has solved the brutal murder of Jitan Sahni, father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni, in Darbhanga within 36 hours. According to the police, Jitan Sahni was murdered over money dealings.
The police said that the main accused of the murder, Kazim Ansari, has been arrested on Wednesday. Along with this, the police has claimed that this murder has been committed due to money dealings. A police officer said that Jitan Sahni was murdered in a dispute over money dealings. The main accused in this case, Kazim Ansari of Ghanshyampur police station of Darbhanga district, has been arrested.
“The police officer said that the accused has also accepted his involvement in this incident. The SIT formed under the direction of Bihar Director General of Police RS Bhatti, the Special Security Team (STF) formed under the leadership of skilled officers, the FSL team for scientific evidence collection and the joint efforts of the District Police of Darbhanga were able to solve the incident.”
Police said that the accused Kazim had taken a loan on interest from the deceased Sahni. Due to non-payment of the money, he was not able to release the mortgaged land. Kazim Ansari had taken a loan of 1.5 lakhs in three installments from the deceased. He was paying 4% interest every month on this loan. He was unable to repay the loan amount.
On the night of the incident, at about 1:30 am, Kazim and his companions entered the house from the back door. The door did not have an inside lock. After entering, the accused woke up the deceased and threatened him and asked for the land and loan papers. But, the deceased started abusing them. On this, Kazim got angry and started stabbing the deceased with a knife. The remaining people held the deceased’s hands and legs. After the murder, the accused tried to find the key of the cupboard containing the papers so that they could take back their papers, but the key was not found.
On this, the accused decided to throw the cupboard in the water in a closed state so that all the papers melt and get destroyed. All the people together threw the wooden cupboard in a small pond located behind the house and fled from there. The police officer said that investigation is being done about the names of his companions given by Kazim Ansari.
Police investigation has revealed that Jeetan Manjhi used to lend money to people on interest. In return, people’s land papers and things like bikes were kept in custody. Police have also seized the bike after the incident. Police is investigating the murder case in connection with this.
Let us tell you that the 70-year-old father of former state minister Mukesh Sahni was stabbed to death at his home in Darbhanga district on July 16. The murder was done in his ancestral house in Supaul Bazar located in Viraul, Darbhanga. Mukesh Sahni’s father’s body was recovered from inside the house, which was in a mutilated condition. Jitan Sahni was murdered with a sharp weapon and several blows were made on his body one after the other. His body parts were brutally cut. Blood was clearly visible on the walls of the room. Jitan Sahni’s last rites were performed on Tuesday.
