Delhi Water Crisis
New Delhi: Water Minister Atishi has made a big allegation regarding the ongoing water crisis in Delhi. Atishi has said that there is a conspiracy to cut the pipeline in Delhi. She has written a letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner in this regard and has requested to provide security to the main water pipeline in Delhi. The Water Minister said that yesterday 6 bolts were cut conspiratorially in the pipeline of South Delhi. There is a conspiracy to increase the water problem in Delhi and due to this conspiracy there is a 25% water shortage in South Delhi today.
Delhi’s Water Minister Atishi has written a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora. The letter reads, “I am requesting the deployment of police personnel for the security and patrolling of our major pipelines for the next 15 days, so that miscreants or people with ill intentions can be prevented from tampering with the water pipelines, which have now become the lifeline of Delhi. Any disturbance and vandalism at this time will further aggravate the already existing water shortage faced by the people of Delhi.”
Aam Aadmi Party MLAs had come to meet Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil on Sunday. However, it was informed from CR Patil’s residence that he was not present at home. After this, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Dilip Pandey said that we had sought time to meet the Union Minister yesterday on Saturday and he did not even refuse it. But when we all reached here today, we were told that the minister was not present at the residence.
When they could not meet the minister, the disappointed Aam Aadmi Party MLAs said that they had come to request the Union Minister to solve Delhi’s water crisis. The MLAs said that Himachal Pradesh is ready to provide water to Delhi, but coordination with Haryana is not happening, in such a situation, Water Power Minister CR Patil should take cognizance of this matter and help the Delhi government.
BJP President Virendra Sachdeva spoke on Delhi water crisis
Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva says, “If there is anyone responsible for the water shortage in Delhi, it is CM Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP government… The water shortage in Delhi is not natural. Delhi has requisite water reserves and Haryana is giving water in quantities more than it is bound to… Water theft and wastage is the basic reason why Delhi is short of water…”
