Patna: The bodies of two children have been recovered from a water-filled pit in Beur police station area in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Both the children were missing since Sunday evening. Sensation has spread after the bodies of two children were found. The police was informed about the disappearance of the children on Saturday night itself. The family got information on Monday morning that the dead bodies of both the children were lying in a pit near 70 feet road in Beur police station area of Patna. When the family identified their children, they turned out to be their own children. There was an uproar after the bodies of both the children were found. Both the children were residents of Saristabad of Gardnibad and were neighbors. Both have been identified as 12-year-old Vivek Kumar and 11-year-old Pratyush Kumar. The family alleges that the children have been beaten to death and the bodies were thrown into a water-filled pit.
Angry family members and local people started a ruckus by blocking the 70 feet road national highway of Patna. They kept creating a ruckus by keeping the dead bodies of both the children on the road. After this incident, the family members are crying bitterly. The deceased 11-year-old Vivek Kumar was a fourth grader. The other child 10-year-old Pratyush Kumar was a fifth grader. The deceased Vivek’s father Vinod Kumar said that he had informed the Gardanibagh police station on the evening of 14th July. He had given a written application about his son’s disappearance, but the police asked him to come on 15th July at 10:00 am. Vinod Kumar alleges that his son has been beaten to death. After the child died, he was thrown into a pit. If the police had worked on time yesterday, his son’s life could have been saved.
Confirming the incident, Patna’s Beur police station in-charge cum trainee DSP said that the bodies of two children living in the Gardanibagh police station area have been found. They have been identified as Vivek Kumar (11) and Pratyush Kumar (10). Both were missing since Sunday evening. The dead bodies of both were found on Monday morning. People are being pacified. Some people are being questioned. Further action is going on in the case.
Patna SSP Rajiv Mishra said that the bodies of two minor children have been found in a pit under Beur police station. Both went missing from Gardanibagh yesterday and the police station was informed about it at 11 pm. On receiving the information, the police station scanned the nearby CCTVs, in which three children were seen together. During interrogation of the third child, he told that they were going for a horse ride on the bypass. After this, their bodies were found in the morning. At first glance, it seems that both of them died due to drowning, because their clothes and slippers were found near a water-filled pit, but the family alleges that they were beaten to death. Necessary action is being taken. Dog squad and FSL have been called. Investigation will be done in the light of whatever complaint will be given by the family.

Vinod Yadav, a resident of Saristavaad, is a driver. His 12-year-old son Vivek Kumar and Abhishek Kumar and Vikas Yadav, a resident of Alkapuri, his 10-year-old son Pratyush Kumar went out to play on Sunday afternoon as it was a holiday. After Sunday afternoon, Abhishek returned to his home and told the family that Vivek and Pratyush had gone for horse riding. After this, the worried people went out to look for them but no trace of both of them was found. Information about this was given to the Gardani Bagh police station. The police started searching the CCTV in the area, but no trace was found. The family remained worried throughout the night. The bodies of the two children were found early in the morning in a large pit filled with water in the area behind the Lara Petrol Pump before 70 feet bypass.
