Patna: In the NEET UG paper leak case, the CBI has arrested two people from Bihar. So far 11 arrests have been made in this case. Officials said that NEET-UG candidate Sunny, who is a resident of Nalanda, and the father of another candidate Ranjit Kumar, who is a resident of Gaya, have been arrested.
Officials said that the CBI has so far arrested eight people in the Bihar NEET-UG paper leak case. At the same time, one person each has been arrested in connection with the alleged rigging in Latur and Godhra in Gujarat. While one person has been arrested from Dehradun in connection with the general conspiracy.
Yesterday i.e. on Tuesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation i.e. CBI has also arrested a person from Maharashtra. The person was arrested by CBI from Latur, Maharashtra. According to the information, it is being claimed that the person used to increase the marks of the students by taking money from them. Several arrests have been made in this case from Bihar, Gujarat and Jharkhand.
Earlier, the agency had arrested the principal and vice principal of Oasis School in Hazaribagh. Apart from this, two people were also arrested, who allegedly provided safe premises to the NEET candidates, where the Bihar Police recovered burnt question papers.
CBI has registered 6 FIRs
The central government gave the responsibility of investigating the matter to the CBI after a large-scale controversy arose over the alleged irregularities in the examination held on May 5. The CBI has registered six FIRs in this case. The FIR registered in Bihar is related to the paper leak, while the FIRs registered in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra are related to other people appearing in the exam in place of the candidates and manipulation.
Supreme Court will hear on July 8
Let us tell you that on July 8, more than 30 petitions were heard in the Supreme Court on the NEET case. The Supreme Court fixed the date of next hearing on Thursday (July 11) on this matter. Also, the Supreme Court has said that the students who committed fraud should be identified. NTA was asked when the paper was leaked for the first time. NTA will have to answer this question in the hearing to be held on Thursday. Along with this, the court has told the government that a team of experts should be formed.
