Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Thursday that the UGC-NET paper leak is an institutional failure of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The government will form a high level committee to investigate its functioning and recommend improvements.
Along with this, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that cancelling UGC-NET was not a sudden decision. We have found evidence that UGC-NET papers were leaked on the darknet. Its papers were being shared on the messaging platform ‘Telegram’. Therefore, it was decided to cancel the UGC-NET exam.
The Education Minister said that the leak of UGC NET paper is an institutional failure of NTA. The government assures the students that a reform committee will be formed soon and strict action will be taken against the culprits. He said that the government is going to form a high level committee for reforms in NTA. The committee will be notified soon and global experts will also be included in it.
