March 24 is known as World TB Day. Every day, under the aegis of the World Health Organization (WHO), many programs related to TB are organized every year, which aim to make people aware of this global disease and eradicate it. On March 24, 1882, German physicist and microbiologist Robert Koch confirmed the identification of the causative bacteria of this deadly disease, which resulted in a great deal of help in the diagnosis and treatment of TB. In simple language, TB is called tuberculosis or Know by the name of tuberculosis. World TB Day is organized every year with a special theme and the theme for the year 2021 is ‘The Clock is Ticking’.
