A leopard assault severely hurt a villager

Krishna Kumar (50), son of Babu Ram, was cutting wood from a tree at around 9 am on Sunday in the field on the banks of the Dhela River behind Ujala Hospital on Manipur Road. Meanwhile, the leopard attacked from behind. On raising the noise, other nearby villagers reached the spot and the leopard ran away. Krishna Kumar was seriously injured in the leopard attack and was admitted to LD Bhatt Sub District Hospital for treatment.

Forest employees arrived on information and inquired about the condition of the injured. On the other hand, Forest Regional Officer Devendra Singh Rajwar said that the departmental team combed the area and patrolling will also be done at night. The area’s residents have been cautioned not to go to deserted areas at night and if a leopard is seen anywhere, they should immediately inform the forest department.
