Heavy landslide has occurred in Batseri in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Due to the landslide, the bridge built on the Baspa river for the village has been broken, due to which the village has been cut off from the world. According to the information received, many vehicles have also been damaged due to falling rocks including landslides from the mountain. As soon as the information was received, the district administration and police team have left for the spot.
At the same time, the cloud burst on Saturday midnight in Kaza’s Lara drain falling under National Highway 505 Kaza-Samdo. After heavy rain, the drain was flooded due to cloudburst. However, there was no loss of life due to the cloudburst. But the road has been badly damaged. Due to which more than 50 vehicles are also stuck on both sides of the road here.
All these vehicles will be able to pass through Lara Nala only after the road is restored. As soon as the cloudburst was reported, the BRO team started the road restoration work. Efforts are on to restore the road by installing machinery.
However, in view of the rain in the tribal areas, the administration has appealed to the tourists and local people to take precautions. People have been asked to stay away from rivers and streams. Deputy Commissioner Neeraj Kumar said that the road which was damaged due to the cloudburst is being restored.
