Tiger that killed woman in Dhela range identified: Permission granted to tranquilize

Ramnagar: The Corbett Park administration has identified the tiger that bit a woman under the Dhela range of the Corbett Tiger Reserve on December 6. Permission has also been granted to tranquilize the tiger.
The tiger that attacked the woman in Patrani has been identified by the forest workers of Corbett. After this, the Chief Wildlife Warden has issued orders to tranquilize the tiger.

On December 6, Anita Devi, a resident of Patrani, was killed by a tiger in Dhela forest. Villagers are agitating due to increasing attacks by wildlife. The villagers are demanding compensation of Rs 25 lakh and security to the family of the deceased.

Corbett Deputy Director Diganth Nayak said that the tiger has been marked. The Chief Wildlife Warden has given orders to tranquilize and capture the tiger.
