AAP government is the biggest enemy of farmers: N.K. Sharma

Zirakpur, 16 2024: MLA in Assembly and MP in Lok Sabha never raised issues
Farmers did not get compensation for the destruction caused a year ago…

Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency and former MLA from Derabassi assembly constituency N.K. Sharma has said that the AAP government, which claims to be farmer friendly, has till date not given compensation to the farmers for the losses incurred last year. Even today, proper arrangements have not been made for purchasing and lifting of crops in the markets.

NK Sharma reached the grain market of Derabassi today and heard the problems of the farmers who brought their crops here. Farmers told NK Sharma that their crops were ruined due to heavy rains and hailstorm last year.

After this, the farmers repaired their fields with their own money and took loans to harvest again. Wheat grains have also become weak due to hailstorm.

Despite this, till date no one has come for Girdawari nor have they received compensation for the loss.
NK Sharma said that due to the poor working style of the AAP government in Punjab in the last two and a half years, the state has gone behind by twenty years. Farmers of Derabassi area are facing huge crisis
The farmers of Derabassi constituency are facing a huge crisis and the MLA here is not able to get their problems resolved from their own government.

He said that during his tenure in the Akali Dal government, five hundred tube well connections were given to farmers in Derabassi area.
First under Congress and now under AAP government, farmers are facing problems regarding tube well connections.

Taking on Congress MP from Patiala Maharani Preneet Kaur, the Akali Dal candidate said that in the matter of land acquisition for the construction of the National Highway, there has been huge discrimination against the farmers of this area in compensation.
Preneet Kaur, who sought votes for BJP despite being a Congress MP, never raised this issue in the Lok Sabha.

While interacting with the farmers of the area present on the spot, Sharma said that on one side there are opportunists and turncoat leaders of Congress and BJP in the Lok Sabha elections and on the other side there are those who are going to loot during the last two and a half years.
In the Akali Dal government, he is seeking votes from the public only on the basis of the decisions taken in the interest of farmers, villagers, urbanites and employees.

On this occasion, many dignitaries including District Youth Akali Dal President Taranbir Singh Timmy Punia, Gurikbal Singh Punia, Youth Akali Dal Urban President Sahil Jain, Gagan Saini Issapur, Bholu Punia, Suresh Sharda, Sukhwinder Singh, Jathedar Rajinder Singh Issapur, Dilbar Singh Chadiyala were present.
