Punjab Bachao Yatra will enter Derabassi Halke on May 5
Akali Dal candidate and former MLA NK Sharma assigned duties to workers.
This time the Lok Sabha elections will be fought on the basis of the development works done in Patiala Lok Sabha constituency during the tenure of Shiromani Akali Dal government in Punjab. In the last seven years, the governments of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have pushed Punjab back by 70 years in terms of development.
The above views were expressed by Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency NK Sharma while addressing the meeting of workers and officials here today.
He said that during the time of Akali Dal government, development projects worth crores of rupees have taken place in the entire Patiala Lok Sabha constituency including Derabassi. Earlier, during the Congress government, not even a single brick was laid in the name of development. Now for the last two years only false propaganda is being carried out by the Aam Aadmi Party government in the name of development.
NK Sharma said that during the time of Akali Dal government, only Rs 43 crore was spent on campaigning, whereas now the Aam Aadmi Party government has kept a budget of Rs 750 crore for campaigning.
NK Sharma instructed all the party officials present in the meeting to send information about the development works done in their constituency to every home. He said that Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are nowhere in comparison to the development work done during the tenure of Akali Dal.
Sharma said that the Punjab Bachao Yatra being organized under the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal President and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal will enter Derabassi assembly constituency on May 5.
This yatra will be welcomed dera bassi by stopping at many places and Sukhbir Badal will meet the workers and mobilize them for victory in the Lok Sabha elections. The Akali Dal candidate took up duties to welcome the visit of party leaders and officials.
