BJP candidate Shah’s family has assets worth Rs 200 crores

New Delhi, 27 March 2024: BJP candidate Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah submitted details of all her assets before the Returning Officer during nomination. It was told that his personal wealth is around Rs 7 crore.

Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah, BJP candidate from Tehri Garhwal Lok Sabha seat, presented details of her personal assets including that of her family in her nomination. The Shah family currently has assets worth around Rs 200 crore, while personal assets worth more than seven crore are with candidate Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah. The total wealth of the Shah family was said to be around Rs 185 crore in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, in which an increase of around Rs 15 crore has been recorded.

On Tuesday, BJP candidate Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah submitted details of all her assets to the Returning Officer during nomination. It was told that his personal wealth is around Rs 7 crore. The wealth of his entire family is said to be around Rs 200 crore. Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah’s personal assets were worth Rs 1.5 crore 12 years ago. Now it has crossed seven crores. Whereas the immovable property has increased from Rs 80 lakh to Rs 90 lakh.

An increase has been recorded in the movable assets of Manujendra Shah, husband of candidate Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah. It has increased from Rs 30 crore to Rs 46 crore. His immovable assets have increased from Rs 130 crore to Rs 147 crore. His family has Hindu Undivided Family assets worth Rs 3.5 crore, while the total liabilities are around Rs 17 crore.

Rajyalakshmi is from Nepal

In the year 1971, Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah studied 12th from Ratna Raje Lakshmi College, Kathmandu, Nepal. He has two and a half kilos of gold and diamond jewellery. He also has luxury cars. There is no liability in his name. Her husband has liabilities of around Rs 17 crore. There is no case or litigation pending against the candidate. In the last financial year, income tax of about Rs 7.25 crore has also been paid by the Shah family.

Congress candidate Jot Singh Gunsola has also presented details of his assets. His total wealth is around Rs 6 crore. There is 10 lakh 22 thousand rupees in cash in it. There is land and house worth three crore rupees and inherited property worth about three crore rupees. He graduated from Meerut University in the year 1973. There is no case pending in his name.
