Ramnagar: Bhuvan Chandra Pandey, the candidate supported by the local Congress unit, intensified his election campaign on Monday. He conducted door-to-door outreach in areas including Gularghtti, Nai Basti, Kust Ashram, Ghasmandi, Canal Colony, Laxmi Vihar, Gas Godown Road, Hathi Khana Colony, and others. During the campaign, he sought blessings from women and the elderly, urging them to vote for him by marking his election symbol, the “Bangla,” with a strong appeal for a decisive vote in his favor.
During the campaign, Pandey stated that this time, the people are fighting the election with him for the position of Municipal Chairperson. He criticized the BJP representatives, accusing them of engaging in mere rhetoric in the name of development. He pointed out that the problem of Nazul land in the city remains unresolved, and the youth are getting trapped in the vices of drugs and gambling, which is ruining their future. He claimed that the current leadership lacks the vision to address these issues.
