Uttarkashi, 05 Feb 2024: Youth Congress workers burnt the effigy of the central government in protest against the Agni Veer recruitment scheme in the army. He demanded immediate closure of the scheme. Said that if the demand is not met then Youth Congress will protest.
Youth Congress workers reached Hanuman Chowk on Monday. Here they burnt the effigy while raising slogans against the central government. District President of Youth Congress Sudhish Panwar said that recently General MM Naravane has talked about recruiting 75 percent youth in the army under Agniveer Yojana and releasing 25 percent people.
He said that Congress will strongly oppose the scheme across the country. Agniveer Yojana is the biggest injustice to the country’s army and the youth who dream of serving the country. Anil Chauhan, Bhagwan Chand, Deepak Rawat, Yogesh Dangwal, Jyoti Prakash, Santosh Bhandari, Prabhat Kumar were present among the protesters.
