Eight proposals came in the Dhami Cabinet meeting, Public and Private Property Ordinance 2024 approved

Uttarakhand, 4 March 2024: Eight proposals came in the Dhami cabinet meeting. During this it was said that the seniority on the posts of Assistant Accountant is different in different departments. Now this will be according to the finance department. Apart from this, many other decisions were taken in the cabinet.

Uttarakhand Public and Private Property Ordinance 2024 approved

Before the Lok Sabha elections, the cabinet meeting started in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday, in which many major decisions were given the green signal. After discussion, the proposal to enact Uttarakhand Public and Private Property Damage Recovery Act was approved. With the enactment of this Act, provisions for strict action and recovery are being made against rioters and protesters causing damage to government and private property.

If damage is caused during riots or agitation, action will be taken against those concerned. The ordinance will be sent to Raj Bhavan for implementation.

Important decisions of the cabinet

  1. 5.335 acres of land of Technical Education Department will be transferred free of cost to National Technology Department, Sumadi, Srinagar.
  2. Amendment in Uttarakhand Housing Policy has been approved. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, now an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh will be given to the beneficiaries by the state government. Earlier an amount of Rs 1 lakh was provided.
  3. Child and General Counselors will be appointed in four districts of Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar under the Justice Department.
  4. Under the Industrial Development Department, Joint Director Mining and Joint Director Geology will now be known as Joint Directors.
  5. There is currently a ban on recruitment in non-government schools under the Secondary Education Department. A committee has already been formed for this under the Higher Education Department. This committee will give its report regarding recruitment in non-government schools under the Secondary Education Department.
  6. The rights of the accounting cadre personnel subordinate to the Finance Department will be under the Finance Department only. A combined cadre has been created for this.
  7. The amount of scholarship given under the Scheduled Caste Maternal Scholarship Scheme under the Social Welfare Department was increased. The amendments made by the Central Government for this purpose were approved by the Cabinet for adoption by the State.
  8. Under the Home Department, in cases of riots and unrest, compensation for damage to public property will be recovered from those who caused the damage. A claims tribunal will be constituted for this. The cabinet has given approval to make an ordinance for this soon.
