Bhadana had won the 1991, 2004 and 2009 elections from Faridabad Loss seat in Haryana. He also won the election from Meerut Lok Sabha seat. He was also an MLA from Meerapur Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. Bhadana left BJP and joined Congress.
Avtar Singh Bhadana, who was MP from Faridabad thrice and Meerut once, may return to BJP from Haridwar. The party has organized a special program in Haridwar for his return. Party’s state election in-charge Dushyant Gautam, state president Mahendra Bhatt will be present in this program. The political implications of Bhadana’s return to Haridwar parliamentary constituency are being assessed.
Let us tell you that Bhadana had won the elections of 1991, 2004 and 2009 from Faridabad Loss seat of Haryana. He also won the election from Meerut Lok Sabha seat. He was also an MLA from Meerapur Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. Bhadana left BJP and joined Congress. He has also left Congress.
On Saturday, during the programs and meetings of the workers of Tehri Lok Sabha constituency, the discussions about Bhadana’s return were very heated in the BJP circles. BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt also indicated that there will be a surprising joining in a similar program to be organized on Sunday regarding the party’s election preparations for Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. Although he did not take the name of Bhadana.
Along with discussions about the return of Bhadana, its political implications are also being explored. This question is floating in the political circles that why Bhadana has to come to Haridwar to take membership of the party while his political grounds have been Haryana and UP. Political experts are seeing it as a possible contender for the Haridwar Lok Sabha seat.
Till now BJP has not declared its candidate on this seat. Apart from MP Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, some other names are also floating as contenders for this seat. One name of Bhadana has also been included in these.
However, sources associated with the party are saying that Bhadana can also contest from Mangalore Assembly seat. Mangalore seat is currently vacant. Mangalore seat is vacant after the death of BSP MLA Sarwat Karim Ansari and by-election is to be held on it.
