In Uttarakhand Restrictions will be imposed on a greater scale till May 25, new guidelines for marriage,banks and shops released.

The Uttarakhand government has extended the restrictions imposed in the state till May 25. A day prior, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat had indicated to increase the lockdown. The government is constantly monitoring the cases of Covid-19 and after deliberations, a decision will be taken to increase the Covid curfew said the Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat.

The government of Uttarakhand also took many decisions with increasing the lockdown.According to the latest decision, RT-PCR test report has been made mandatory for Uttarakhand to be included in the wedding ceremonies during the curfew. State cabinet minister and state government spokesperson Subodh Uniyal told that the Covid curfew will now remain in force till 6 am on May 25. Earlier, the curfew period was coming to an end at 6 am on Tuesday 18 May.

A maximum of 20 people will be allowed to attend the wedding ceremony during the curfew and for this it will be mandatory to conduct RT-PCR check for a maximum of 72 hours. The doctor’s prescription will be valid for the patient to visit. However, curfew pass will be compulsory for those attending the funeral. Only four people can go to Haridwar for bone immersion.

On the request of the banks, the working period in the banks has been reduced from 10 am to 2 pm in the day. The same system will also apply to the State Employees Finance Institute. Along with the government ration shop, the bakery will also be allowed to open from 7 am to 10 am. On May 21, groceries shops will open from 7 am to 10 am. There will be no compulsory pass to enter Uttarakhand from Uttar Pradesh border, but will have to apply on the portal.
