Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Bangladesh for a two-day visit. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed her at the airport. On reaching Dhaka, the Prime Minister was given a guard of honor. Prime Minister Modi has arrived in Bangladesh to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence. This is Prime Minister Modi’s first foreign visit after Corona and lockdown.
Here, along with the national day of the neighboring country, is also the birth centenary of the father of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. PM Modi tweeted before the visit that our partnership with Bangladesh is an important pillar of ‘Neighborhood First’ policy and we are committed to make it deeper and wider. We will continue to support the remarkable journey of development of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.He said he aspired to participate in the celebrations to mark Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s life and ideals, Bangladesh’s war for independence and 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
