The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has come out in defense of its quota home minister Anil Deshmukh in the Maharashtra government, surrounded by allegations of extortion of Rs 100 crore. State President Jayant Patil said on Sunday night that there was no question of Deshmukh’s resignation. He is ready for any investigation by the government.

However, it may be a conspiracy to destabilize the government. An in-depth investigation into the allegations is necessary. He also said, Parambir Singh made these allegations after being removed from the post of Mumbai Police Commissioner. He did not speak when he was in office. He also did not provide any proof of recovery. Parambir’s decision to reinstate Sachin Waje, the head of the Crime Intelligence Branch.
