Lucknow: Mayawati has again declared her nephew Akash Anand as her successor. He has also been made the national coordinator of BSP again. A day earlier, Akash was made the star campaigner for the Uttarakhand by-election. Anand’s name was second in the list after Mayawati.
Mayawati reviewed the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections with all the state heads of BSP in Lucknow on Sunday. In this meeting, Akash Anand took blessings by touching Mayawati’s feet. During this, former Chief Minister Mayawati lovingly placed her hand on his head and caressed him and patted his back. During this, Mayawati declared Akash Anand as her successor again. Mayawati’s brother Anand was also present in the meeting.
Let us tell you that Akash Anand had organised several rallies for the promotion of BSP during the Lok Sabha elections. But Mayawati was upset with Akash Anand’s statement in a rally in Sitapur. Along with this, Mayawati also removed Akash from the post of National Coordinator.
Mayawati had said in a statement that Akash still needs to mature further. After this, BSP could not even open its account in the Lok Sabha elections. On the contrary, BSP’s vote percentage in Uttar Pradesh fell from 19 percent to 10 percent.
By appointing Akash Anand as the national coordinator once again, Mayawati has in a way repaired the damage. Let us tell you that by-elections are to be held on 10 seats in UP in the coming days. Party supremo Mayawati has decided that the Bahujan Samaj Party will field candidates in the by-elections to be held on 10 seats in the state. After returning to the post of national coordinator, the responsibility of Uttar Pradesh has once again come on the shoulders of Akash Anand. He will be seen campaigning for the party from ticket distribution to by-elections.
