More than 83 lakh voters will cast ballots tomorrow in five Uttarakhand constituencies, with 55 candidates running for office

Uttarakhand, 18 April 2024: Voting will take place from 7 am to 5 pm. Before the start of voting, there will be a mock poll in the presence of polling agents of all the candidates.

On Friday, 83,37,914 voters will decide the fate of 55 candidates in the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand. The Election Commission has completed all preparations for the voting. The Commission has set a target of increasing the voting to 75 percent.

In 2019, there was 61.50 percent voting. After voting on all five seats, counting of votes will take place on June 4. The Election Commission has appealed to the people of the state to vote as much as possible. Chief Electoral Officer Dr. BVRC Purushottam said, voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm. Before the start of voting, there will be a mock poll in the presence of polling agents of all the candidates.

All voters who enter their polling place by 5 pm will be able to vote. Apart from Voter ID, you will also be able to use 12 other documents to cast your vote. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande said, by evening 9,500 polling parties had reached their polling places. She will provide information about the commencement of voting.
