Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency N.K. Sharma has called upon the youth to unite and campaign in support of Akali Dal and after becoming MP, he will promote sports and youth activities.

NK Sharma was holding a meeting with the officials of Akali Dal student wing SOI here today. He said that the youth can give a new twist to any campaign if they wish. During the tenure of Shiromani Akali Dal government in Punjab, many developmental schemes have been started for the youth.

Sharma told that he had started the ‘Race at 4 o’clock and get Rs 5 lakh prize’ scheme in his assembly constituency. By associating with this scheme, thousands of youth of Derabassi area have purchased sports equipment in their respective villages and have strengthened the infrastructure in the field of sports at a cost of lakhs of rupees. Sharma said that after winning the Patiala Lok Sabha constituency elections, this campaign will be started for the youth in the entire Lok Sabha constituency.

Giving the slogan of one booth, ten youth, Sharma said that ten youth should handle each booth and campaign through micro management till the elections. On this occasion, many officials of SOI including SOI Harpreet Singh, Sahaj Singh Zaildar, Dilpreet Singh, Dharampreet Singh, Sukhmanjeet Singh, Satnam Singh, Simarpreet Singh, Harshit Kumar were present.
