Chandigarh, 28 April 2024: Today, twenty five new NCC cadets were inducted under the guidance of Captain Harjeet Singh Deol, Commanding Officer, First Punjab Naval Unit NCC, Naya Nangal at the local N.N.Mohan D.A.V.Senior Secondary School, Dera Bassi.
First of all, while giving information about NCC to the interested students of the school, Chief Petty Officer Gurudev explained in detail about the various branches of the Army and later a written examination was conducted for them. Students were recruited by testing them on physical and intellectual criteria. Chief Instructor Gurudev’s Petty Officer Pushk Raj also gave full support in this examination.
Institute Principal and NCC Officer Pritam Das said that today’s recruitment of NCC cadets for the first year will not only make these students physically strong and determined in the future but will also teach them the meaning of living a life of discipline. Let us also tell here that today 16 boys and 9 girls have been recruited as NCC cadets. The teachers of the institution, Ankita and Ashima had a special contribution in this recruitment process.
