Vaidhraj Kishan said he will first check temperature of those coming in his contact and wore the kit to save himself from coronavirus.
A candidate for assembly elections, wearing PPE kit and carrying hand sanitizer and thermal scanner, filed his nomination papers on Tuesday. This is the 19th election of Samyukta Vikas Party candidate Vaidhiraj Kishan as a candidate.
In all the 18 elections contested so far, Kishan’s bail was forfeited. But the candidate said that he will also file nomination against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur.
He tried to contest the presidential election in the past and deposited the fee but could not find the proposers. When asked why he is wearing PPE kit and hand sanitiser and thermal scanner, Kishan said that he will first check the temperature of his contacts and wear the kit to protect himself from coronavirus .
Kishan told PTI that this is his 19th election as a candidate. He said that at that time he had asked for votes and a note from every voter. “I got 8,000 votes and got Rs 1.5 lakh in cash,” he said.
City magistrate Devendra Pratap Singh confirmed that a person from the Samyukta Vikas Party has filed his nomination.
