Nainital: Today is the 60th foundation day of Kainchi Dham. There is a flood of faith in the court of Neeb Karori Baba since this morning. This time’s Scissor Fair is going to be historic. This can be gauged by seeing more than 10 thousand devotees who reached here on Friday evening, a day before the Kainchi Fair.
Today is the 60th foundation day of Kainchi Dham and in such a situation there is a flood of faith in the court of Neeb Karori Baba. After offering bhog to Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj at Kainchi Dham at 5.30 am, the distribution of Malpua Prasad has started.
Devotees started coming to Kainchi Dham from five in the morning to have Baba’s darshan. Pradeep Sah, manager of the temple committee, said that the fair has started with the offering of food to Baba. He said that Malpua Prasad will be distributed till 9 pm. He said that this time more than 2 lakh devotees are expected to arrive. Also, till now more than five thousand people have returned with Prasad.
This time’s Scissor Fair is going to be historic. This can be gauged by seeing more than 10 thousand devotees who reached here on Friday evening, a day before the Kainchi Fair. On Friday evening, more than 20 thousand devotees who came from every corner of the country recited Hanuman Chalisa throughout the night. Kainchi Dham echoed with the cheers of Baba. More than 10 thousand devotees were served food by the temple committee. From morning till evening, there was a crowd of devotees in the temple to have darshan of Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj.
After offering bhog to Baba Neeb Karauri Maharaj at Kainchi Dham at five in the morning, the distribution of Malpua Prasad started. Such was the flood of faith in Baba that the devotees stood in a four kilometer long line from 5 o’clock in the morning, waited for hours to have darshan of Baba and took the Malpua Prasad. Devotees coming from Bhawali and Almora kept seeing Baba from the main gate of the temple with the cheers of Baba. The devotees standing in long queues expressed their displeasure by raising questions about the arrangements made by the district administration and police administration.
Pradeep Sah, manager of the temple committee, said that the fair has started with the offering of food to Baba. He said that thousands of devotees had reached Kainchi Dham since Friday night. Sah said that distribution of Malpua prasad has started by 9 o’clock. He said that this time more than 2 lakh devotees are expected to arrive. Sah said that till 8.30 am, more than 40 thousand devotees had taken darshan of Baba and blessings of Malpua.
Here, SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena is in charge of the traffic and security arrangements of the Kainchi Fair. SSP said that a police team is deployed to ensure that the devotees do not have to face any problems. He said that till 8.30 am, more than 50 thousand devotees had returned after having darshan of Baba.
