Five-time champions Mumbai Indians registered their first win of the season by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 10 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Tuesday, thanks to the brilliant spin bowling of Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya. KKR needed 31 runs to win in the last five overs with six wickets remaining, but the Mumbai bowlers snatched the win from them. Russell got another chance in Krunal’s next over. This time, Bumrah leaked his easy catch. KKR needed 19 runs to win in the last two overs, but despite the presence of Dinesh Karthik and Russell at the crease, Bumrah conceded just four runs. Russell scored nine runs in 15 balls while Cummins was dismissed without opening the account. Karthik remained unbeaten after scoring eight runs off 11 balls.
