Yogi’s gift to the players of UP in the midst of Tokyo Olympics, will get jobs from sports quota

This time ten players from UP are participating in the Olympics. Now seats will be reserved for players in all government departments. Chief Minister Yogi has congratulated all the 10 players of UP who are participating in the Tokyo Olympics. In the past, Yogi also interacted with all 10 players.

Lucknow : Amidst the start of the Olympic Games in Tokyo on Friday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a big gift to the talented sportspersons of the state. Posts will now be reserved for sportspersons in all government departments of the state. Players will be appointed on these posts as per their merit.

In a high-level meeting on Friday, Chief Minister Yogi said that the state government is making all necessary efforts for the promotion of sports and sportspersons. There are posts in various departments under the sports quota, but due to the neglectful policies of the previous governments towards sports and youth, qualified sportspersons were not appointed to these posts. Due to this there is disappointment among the players/athletes of the state. Now that a positive atmosphere has been created in the state regarding sports. A sports university is being set up in Meerut, and open gyms and sports grounds are being built from village to village. In such a situation it is necessary that appointments should be made under sports quota in all departments.

Referring to the police department, the CM said that Uttar Pradesh Police is one of the largest civil police force in the world. In this it will be useful to take the services of talented players under sports quota. Eligible sportspersons/athletes should be appointed on suitable posts by creating sports quota in the police department. Similarly, appointments should be made on the vacant posts under sports quota in all other departments of the state as soon as possible. The Chief Minister has given instructions to prepare a new policy in this regard. This decision of CM will give a big impetus to the sportspersons.

Chief Minister Yogi has congratulated all the 10 players of UP who are participating in the Tokyo Olympics. In the past, Yogi also interacted with all 10 players. Priyanka Goswami (Athletics), Annu Rani (Athletics), Seema Punia (Athletics), Vandana Kataria (Hockey), Saurabh Chaudhary (Shooting), Meraj Ahmed Khan (Shooting), Arvind Singh (Rowing), Satish Kumar (Boxing) Lalit Kumar Talking to Upadhyay (Hockey) and Shivpal Singh (Athletics), the Chief Minister had called upon the sportspersons and athletes to give suggestions for expansion of sports facilities in the state.
