Covid-19: Report of Last 24 hours of Covid-19 in India

Last 24 hours reports of Covid-19: India reports 152,734 new Covid-19 cases, the lowest single-day spike in 50 days; active cases declines to 20,26,092; Till year-end everyone will be vaccinated, Centre tells SC; CM Nitish Kumar extends lockdown in Bihar till June 8; Curfew extended in Andhra, Uttarakhand; Delhi, UP and J&K begin gradual unlocking as the Covid-19 situation improves.

Covid-19 situations improves in some states and union territories so, ease is given in restrictions of lockdown. Delhi and Uttar Pradesh government began the unlocking process from today (June 1), while Madhya Pradesh also opened up from June 1, though in a phased manner. Besides, extension of lockdown in states like Maharashtra, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Haryana, and Odisha. Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh have eased in lockdown restrictions. Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Sikkim governments are likely to take a decision on opening up as lockdown ended in these states on May 31.

Less than 2 lakh new Covid-19 cases reported in past four days. India reported 11,52,734 new Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the lowest single-day spike in 50 days. It is an indication that the Covid-19 second wave may be ending. The Covid-19 recovery rate in the country also improved to 91.60%. The daily fatalities due to Coronavirus complications have also fallen. India reported 3,128 Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the overall toll to 3,29,100, according to Union Health Ministry data on Monday. Recoveries continued to outnumber the daily new cases for the 18th day in a row as a result the active caseload in the country further declined to 20,26,092, the Health Ministry said.

On sunday, Sll (Serum Institute of India) said they will able to manufacture and supply 9-10 crore doses of Covishield in June, which will gonna help a lot in vaccination drive in India because shortage of vaccine is a big problem. After collection of data, the government is planning to review its decision of extending the time gap between two doses of Covishield.
