NO CHARGING POINTS FOR TRAIN PASSENGERS AT NIGHT

Railways have formulated new rules in the view of safety of passengers . Train passengers will not be able to change their phone, laptop or any electronic devices at night during train journey. It is said to be done for the passenger’s safety. The charging points will be closed for passengers from 11 p.m to 5 a.m. Rs. 100 Fine for smoking cigarettes is also being implemented on people who are caught smoking in trains.

There is a high risk of overheating of laptops and mobile phones charging at night as most people leave them after putting them to charging . This can cause high risk of fire. This decision has been taken after the frequent fire incidents.

This decision is being implemented in all zones according to the instructions of the Railways Board. Strictness has also been increased following Delhi – Dehradun Shatabdi Express fire. Because of which Railways have decided to fine those who smoke in trains .
