Every now and then a section of the society comes forward for the change because there are so many evils in the society. Likewise, the Kerala High Court has made an important comment about the attitude of the single mother and the society towards them. In the judgment, the court said that now the time has come to plan to support the single mother. A bench of Justice A. Muhammad Mustaq and Justice Dr. Kausar Edappagath gave this comment in the case of Anamika (name changed), who is a single mother, living in a live-in relationship. In fact, Anamika had decided to adopt her child after not getting the support of the parents and the biological father of the child. But later when the two got together, they both approached the court to reclaim their child. The court said that Anamika was forced to adopt her child due to concerns about being a single mother and the future of the child. The court said that if a woman feels that she cannot do anything without the cooperation of a man, then it is a failure of our system.
