Uttarkashi: A female devotee from Bengal died early today. A total of 29 deaths have occurred so far during the Yamunotri Dham yatra.
A female devotee from West Bengal who had come on Char Dham Yatra, died early in the morning at Jankichatti, the main stop of Yamunotri Dham. The death toll during the pilgrimage to Dham has reached 29.
65-year-old Shyamali Halder, a resident of West Bengal, had come on Chardham Yatra with her family. During this time, her health deteriorated early in the morning at Jankichatti, the main stop of Yamunotri Dham, and she was taken to Jankichatti Hospital in an unconscious state.
Here the doctors declared her dead. Primary Health Center in-charge Dr. Hardev Singh Panwar said that the female devotee had died before reaching the hospital. A total of 29 deaths have occurred so far during the Yamunotri Dham Yatra.
