Dehradun: On the ninth day of Sharadiya Navratri, the last form of Goddess Durga, Maa Siddhidatri, was worshipped. For nine days of Navratri, it is customary to worship the nine forms of Maa Durga with rituals and on Maha Ashtami and Navami Tithi, the mother is bid farewell by performing Kanya Pujan. Kanya Pujan was performed in homes and temples on Friday.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami prayed for public welfare by worshiping Maa Siddhidatri, the giver of eight siddhis, on the ninth day of Sharadiya Navratri at the official residence. Along with this, the girls in the form of Goddess were worshiped with complete rituals. During this, he said that I wish that Adishakti Maa Bhagwati blesses all the people of the state and gives them happiness, peace and prosperity.
This time, due to two dates falling on the same day on Sharadiya Navratri, there was confusion regarding Ashtami and Navami dates.
There is a confusion in the minds of people whether Maha Ashtami and Navami should be celebrated on October 11 or October 12. According to the scriptures, worshipping the girl child on Ashtami and Navami dates during Navratri has special importance.
According to the calculations of the Panchang, the Ashtami Tithi of the Ashwin month started on October 10, which ended on October 11 at 12:07 pm. In this way, if we talk on the basis of Udaya Tithi, then Ashtami Tithi was celebrated on October 11 only. People who performed Kanya Pujan on Ashtami Tithi, they completed the Puja and broke the fast before the end of Ashtami Tithi on October 11 noon.
After keeping a fast during Navratri, worshipping the girl pleases the goddess. She blesses with happiness, prosperity, wealth and riches. Along with this, worshipping the girl strengthens the position of the nine planets in the horoscope. Worshipping the girl brings special blessings of the goddess.
It is believed that without worshipping girls, the full benefits of Navratri cannot be achieved. By worshipping girls, love remains between all the family members and all the members progress.
By worshipping a girl from 2 to 10 years of age, a person gets different benefits. For example, worshipping a Kumari increases age and strength.
Worshiping Trimurti brings wealth and progeny; worshipping Kalyani brings royal happiness, knowledge and victory.
By worshipping Kalika all troubles are removed and by worshipping Chandika one gets prosperity and wealth.
Disputes end with the worship of Shambhavi and success is achieved by worshipping Durga. Diseases are destroyed by the worship of Subhadra and all wishes are fulfilled by the worship of Rohini.
