Dehradun – Tourism Smart City !

Dehradun: State Tourism and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj held a meeting with the officials of Tourism and Smart City on Tuesday and brainstormed on developing Dehradun Smart City according to tourism.

Tourism and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj held a meeting with the officials of Smart City and Tourism Department in Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council on Tuesday and gave necessary directions to develop Smart City Dehradun according to tourism. On this occasion, the officials of Smart City Project apprised the Tourism Minister about the work done so far through a presentation.

During the meeting, Satpal Maharaj suggested to the smart city officials that in view of the dedication of the martyrs of Uttarakhand in the smart city, a wall should be built in their memory so that people can take inspiration from their sacrifice.

Maharaj said that we want that there are some grounds of Dehradun which can be developed from the point of view of tourism. He also asked to give such grounds to the tourism department so that it can be developed for tourism activities. Maharaj said that inside every smart city of the world, a place is marked for tourism activities. Where people roam and enjoy tourism. We want Dehradun to become such a place for tourists even inside the smart city where people can get a glimpse of their culture.

Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj told that the responsibility of looking after the ONGC helipad should be given to the tourism department.

He said that he has also requested Union Minister of State for Tourism Ajay Bhatt in this regard. We want that helicopters can be operated from there to Mussoorie for tourists.
In the meeting, AGM Technical of Project Management Consultancy of Smart City Mr Jagmohan Singh Chouhan, Project Manager Mr Krishna Pallav Chamola, AGM Electronics Mr Ashish Dayal Saxena, JE Civil Chinmay Singh, Additional Secretary Tourism Mr Yugal Kishore Pant, Director of Infrastructure (Tourism) Mr Deepak Many officers including Khanduri, Superintending Engineer Shri Sharad Shrivastava were present.
